I am having a similar issue - I had one 500 gig hard drive go out on me and another is how you say Vibrating. When my first hard drive was vibrating I called taps and they said they could do nothing till my hard drive fails completely (lucky me)
Well I bought both hard drives at the same time from a store that was shut down in California. I called taps to let them know I have a failed hard drive.
Im on hold for 30 minutes (I use speaker phone to save myself the *** of hold. I talked with someone who claims I am in the system and that I will be contacted by compusa.
7 days of 10 and nothing. I used the website to communicate my issues and so far have not received an email from COMPUSA yet.
IM thinking this guy is right - TAPS is a rip off - specially when Western digitals now offerers 3 years from their site. I called back already explaining I have a ticket number and have not received any communication.
they assured me I will get an answer in 10 business days.
